The global Covid-19 pandemic has exposed deep fissures in the global political and economic fabric. For democracy to survive, the social contract needs to be reimagined; economies needs to be re-engineered and climate change – that is now accelerating at a pace that could quickly dwarf the consequences of the pandemic – needs to be confronted.
In this episode of the Tällberg Foundation’s “New Thinking for a New World” podcast, Danish politician and former President of the UN General Assembly Mogens Lykketoft argues that these inter-related challenges demand urgent action—and that if humanity moves fast, we could find new paths to a new, shared prosperity.

This is a very important contribution in offering direction to the world. The discourse will definitely ignite the debate that would lead to a better post COVID 19 world.
After listening to this podcast, I feel that the European Union is on the verge of breaking, but despite the economic problems following covid 19, I am sure that europeans will never break their union since it makes them stronger in front of America and other international powers. Actually, I believe Eurpean politicians will rather think of finding solutions to economic problems and may threaten to leave the union, but will never really do it. In a word, Europe’s future will continue to be green in case the union will shine over European countries and will strengthen their international position.
The Corona crisis has as of today not helped the EU project. Let us hope the financial package will give it some new energy.
The Green plan is very promising and could strengthen the EU both externally and internally.
More broadly EU should be more active geopolitically in view of the growing tensions between US, China and Russia.

I believe that the future of Europe, like the future of other political blocs in the world and the future of all Humanity, can only be green and prosperous.
Because, the fate of the human race is based on the goodness of mother nature who still harbors all the natural resources that can allow humanity to survive in prosperity for many years.
However, the political systems that shaped the European Union and the United Nations have shown their limits and must be revised and updated to be able to face all the challenges of the third millennium.
In this vision of things, I want to highlight my concept of the “Interdependence between States & Governments” whose ideas and concepts have been developed and analyzed deeply in my two following books:
– The first, in Spanish, bearing the title: “Deslocalización de la empresa española (europea) en vía de quiebra hacia los PVD”
– The second, in French, with the title: “Le Système Etatique”
In these two books I proposed all the ideas and the notions for the implementation of other new political systems and new formulas of governance which can allow the European Union and all the other political blocs to get out of this anarchic Globalization and this generalized Disorder which destroyed, economically and socially, all the countries of the World, including the superpowers.
As an example, we should cite the idea of proposing the organization of a national or international Summit of Concord, Prosperity and Peace, within the framework of the concept of Interdependence, to resolve all political conflicts and economic and social disputes.
